The physician will give advice based on your wishes, and in consultation it will be decided what suits your body best.

When you have come to a treatment plan together with the plastic surgeon, you will immediately receive a personal quote from the consultant. The prices and costs of a breast enlargement depend on various factors (such as the type of implant and the treatment method) and the quote is therefore always tailor-made.

During the first consultation, prior to the breast augmentation, the cost picture will be mapped out for you. Below you will find an indication of the average costs of a breast augmentation with breast implants.

What determines the price of a breast augmentation?

The type of treatment determines the costs of breast augmentation. The question 'what does breast augmentation cost' can be answered in a personal conversation with the doctor. The costs of breast augmentation are calculated based on your initial situation, specific wishes and the type of implants. For an indication of the costs, you should take the following into account:

• Breast implants come in many shapes and sizes. The cost of breast augmentation depends on the brand and type of breast implant.
• We use the following brands:motivation andMentor.
  • The round breast implants are less expensive than the teardrop-shaped implants.
  • Breast augmentation procedures without implants but by using your own body fat (lipofilling) are more affordable than breast augmentations with implants.lipofilling) is also possible. However, this treatment method is not suitable for everyone, because there must be sufficient fat in the body.

When you choose a breast enlargement at Aesthetic Center Jan van Goyen, then all costs are included in the total price. The type of breast prostheses

For breast enlargements, we work exclusively with controlled, medically responsible prostheses. We also offer the possibility of filling your breasts with lipofilling.

Round breast implants

For the round silicone-filled breast implants we use the brands motivation and MentorDepending on your wishes and what the treating physician finds, it will be determined which prostheses will be placed during the operation.

Teardrop-shaped (anatomical) breast implants

We also use the brands Motiva and Mentor for the anatomical silicone-filled breast prostheses. In addition to round breast prostheses, Mentor also offers anatomically shaped breast prostheses. The anatomical model of the Motiva breast prosthesis contains the ergonomix gel whereby the prosthesis sags as an anatomical breast prosthesis.

Lipofilling

In addition to enlargements with prostheses, more and more breast enlargements are performed with lipofilling. This is a filling of your own fatty tissue, whereby we can go up to one cup size larger. For more information about this technique, please visitour page about lipofilling.

A combination of a breast prosthesis and your own fatty tissue is also possible. This can give the breasts a more natural appearance.

Reimbursement of breast augmentation costs

In some cases, your breast augmentation will be reimbursed by your health insurer. For this, a medical indication and an application to your health insurer are required. Take into account, among other things, the following guidelines of the health insurer:

• There is no breast development. An indication of no breast development is given when you have less than 1 centimetre of gland tissue and there is no visible crease underneath the breast.
• Volume loss in one breast, for example due to breast amputation as a result of illness or injury.

The costs of breast augmentation are not reimbursed for:

• The breast augmentation is done for cosmetic reasons
• There is a congenital difference in size between the breasts
• Psychological complaints
